The 2007 portion of the PFFL season started with Jessica Alba’s ass and concluded this week with Kelly Hu. Hope you all enjoyed the babes of PFFL this year, but in case you missed one (or more) of them, here they are in one mega babe-post.

Happy New Year!

99846_kelly_24_123_377lo.jpgThere are times when this fantasy football thing is ridiculously frustrating. Sunday was one of those times… Nothing like over-thinking the matchups and starting the Arizona defense (playing the hapless Falcons — money, right?) instead of the Bears (who were facing that juggernaut Packer offense). So, not only am I completely ticked off watching my Packers get dominated by the weather like rookies from Ecuador or something, but my fantasy team is blowing a chance to beat the best team in PFFL and advance to the Super Bowl… @*$(#!!!!

Ok, that’s off my chest now… I’m still hoping to recover in time for the 2008 fantasy season.

30992_18_122_339lo.jpgIn week 16 Playoff Action:

  • The Jedi Masters advanced to the Super Bowl with a win over Post Mortem, 81.92 – 69.54. Both teams made a number of “hindsight is 20-20″ poor lineup decisions, leading to the lowest score for the winning team in this rivalry since the playoffs in 2001 (the loser in the three of the last four meetings scored over 100). The all-time series is now tied at 9 wins each, although TJM holds a 2-1 playoff advantage.
  • In the other semi-final, Kramerica beat SaaBB for only the second time ever (and second in the last 5 weeks) to advance to the title game. This one wasn’t even close, as KI dominated 90.12 – 52.21. SaaBB can take solace in still holding the all-time matchup advantage, 5-2.

87660_04682_kellyhutaolasvegas004.jpgRecords & Milestones

  • SaaBB and Post Mortem now share the distinction of most career playoff losses — at 8 each. The upside of that record is that both teams have advanced to the postseason in 8 of 11 seasons (more than any other team). The downside? 8 playoff appearances, 0 championships (and only 1 championship appearance each).
  • SaaBB’s 52.21 points are the 7th fewest ever scored in a PFFL playoff game.
  • The Jedi Masters became the 6th team in PFFL history to score 1000 points in the postseason. The 13 games it took them to reach the mark is the longest of the 6 milestone holders. The Hip and SIAP lead the way, accomplishing the feat in only 10 postseason games.

In the Toilet Bowl:

  • The Hip beat DDT, 82.14 – 73.08
  • Hedfullalicker beat Turd Ferguson, 66.67 – 60.75

99185_kelly_18_123_424lo.jpg(3) Kramerica Industries (9-7) vs. (1) The Jedi Masters (14-1)

  • This is the second Super Bowl appearance for The Jedi Masters. They lost in the title game in 2004.
  • This is the first ever Super Bowl appearance for Kramerica Industries.
  • The Jedi Masters defeated Kramerica, 101.31 – 80.8, back in week 6.
  • Kramerica has won 3 of the last 5 games against TJM, but TJM leads the career series, 5-3.
  • This is the first ever playoff meeting between these two teams.
  • No team has ever dropped to 0-2 in championship games (i.e., every time a team has appeared in a second Super Bowl after losing one, they have won) — this is good news for TJM

Kelly Hu wishes Kramerica and the Jedis luck in their championship matchup…

View the Week 16 GameCenter

2007_wk16_2.jpgWithout a single snap of an NFL game taking place, only this much is guaranteed: The PFFL Super Bowl will feature one team from the East and one from the West. Oh, and the 2007 PFFL champion will be a first time trophy holder, and the 9th different team to win the PFFL title.

In hot hot semi-final action this week:

2007_wk16.jpg(5) Post Mortem (8-7) at (1) The Jedi Masters (14-1)

  • Post Mortem was an upset winner in round 1, knocking off a tough Double D team
  • The Jedi Masters survived an uncharacteristically low-scoring affair with Winning Beer Money
  • These two teams have met twice before in the postseason. Both of those games were in the first round. In 2001, when the two teams were also both in the West division, Post was the division champ and beat the Jedis in round 1 after also beating them in week 14. In 2002, the Jedis crushed ‘Mortem in round 1 after beating PM in a non-division game in week 8.
  • Post Mortem handed the Jedis their only loss this year, waaaaaaay back in week 2.
  • Post Mortem is 1-2 in semi-final games.
  • The Jedi Masters are 1-3 in the semis.
  • Post Mortem currently leads the overall series against The Jedi Masters, 9-8.

2007_wk16_3.jpg(7) Sharp as a Bowling Ball (8-7) at (3) Kramerica Industries (8-7)

  • Kramerica was the highest scoring team in round 1, eliminating a surging TKD
  • SaaBB bounced back from a miserable late-season losing streak to knock off heavily favored SIAP last week
  • This is their first playoff meeting
  • Kramerica is only 1-5 against SaaBB all-time, with that win coming back in week 12. That victory ultimately was the key to KI’s surprise division championship.
  • Kramerica has never played in a playoff semi-final.
  • SaaBB is competing in their 6th week 16 matchup, but is only 1-5 in semi-final action.

Toilet Bowl

In the consolation bracket:

  • The Hip vs Duany Duany Tanning
  • Turd Ferguson vs Hedfullalicker

Merry Christmas from Nadia Styles and Ashley Fires (I guarantee those are stripper names)

2007 Week Fifteen (Playoffs Round 1) Recap

63748_409_122_794lo.jpgSomething interesting that I didn’t notice until after the round 1 action was complete: Every round 1 matchup featured a former league champion playing a team that has never had their team name engraved on the PFFL trophy. Oddly enough, all four former champions lost. Wild.

hgb9u314bt_image0001.jpgOn to the week 15 action:

  • The Jedi Masters won their 13th straight game, defeating Winning Beer Money for the second week in a row. This matchup featured two of the three lowest scores among the playoff teams this week. The Jedis have now beaten WBM five straight times, and own an 8-2 advantage overall.
  • In the closest game of the week, SaaBB beat SIAP by 0.68 points. SaaBB now leads the all-time matchup 7-6, while these two have split their two playoff showdowns.
  • Kramerica Industries continued their impressive late season surge this week, knocking off a very hot TKD team by nearly 27 points. This is pretty impressive for a team that was still getting used to the title of “division champ.” This is Kramerica’s first victory over TKD since week 2 of the 2002 season, but it ties the career matchup at two wins apiece.
  • In the only first round game featuring teams from the same division, Double D did in fact succumb to the old “it’s tough to beat the same team three times in one season” thing. After sweeping Post Mortem with ease during the regular season (and every time they’ve met since week 2 of the 2005 season), DD was eliminated from the playoffs by 13 points. Post did it without a single starter scoring a touchdown as well (as noted by Double D’s e-mail of frustration on Tuesday morning). DD still leads the all-time series 8-2, but the playoff matchup is now knotted at one each.

megan_fox_nipple_slip_2.jpgRecords

  • The 131.37 points scored by The Jedis and WBM makes it the 6th lowest scoring playoff game in PFFL history. The lowest? WNFL’s 71-50 win over The Dark Side in 1999. Oddly, The Jedi Masters have been involved in 4 of the top 10 lowest scoring postseason games.
  • SaaBB’s 0.68 point win over SIAP is the smallest playoff victory margin ever, sneaking ahead of WBM’s 1.15 point win in the 2006 championship game. These two are no strangers to close playoff games. Both SaaBB and SIAP have been in four of the 12 closest postseason games.
  • The Jedi Masters scored the third fewest points ever in a playoff win, while Post Mortem grabbed the #7 spot on that same list.
  • SaaBB moves into a tie for 2nd with 8 career playoff victories. The Jedi Masters are alone in 5th with 6, and Post Mortem is now tied for 6th with 5.
  • WBM, TKD and SIAP are all tied for 6th all-time with 5 career playoff losses.
  • In career playoff record updates (for the losers):
    • Double D is now 5-3
    • SIAP is now 10-5
    • TKD is 8-5
    • WBM is 3-5

Toilet Bowl

  • The Hip beat Camel Toe, 126.11 – 110.73 to advance to face DDT. Camel Toe is now 0-2 against The Hip (and overall) in Toilet Bowl games.
  • Turd Ferguson beat CSPJ, 85.99 – 60.3 for the right to face Hedfullalicker. CSPJ is now 0-2 in the Toilet Bowl, all-time.

Megan Fox (of Transformers “fame”) congratulates all of the round 1 winners.

emilyscott6.jpgIn week 14 (and regular season-concluding) action:

  • Kramerica Industries defeated The Hip for the third consecutive time, and now holds a 3-1 series lead.
  • SaaBB lost their fourth straight game, falling to Hedfullalicker in a close one. The win continues Hed’s dominance of SaaBB, to the tune of 9-3 all-time.
  • Tappa Kegga Day exploded for almost 137 points, handing CSPJ a third straight defeat. Since CSPJ beat TKD in their first meeting back in 2003, TKD has won 7 straight.
  • In their first-ever meeting, Camel Toe beat Post Mortem by 16. It was CT’s third straight victory, while Post lost a second consecutive game.
  • DDT pounded SIAP by 45 points for their first victory over the ‘pissers since 2005. DDT does lead the career matchup, 5-3.
  • Double D wrapped up their season with a 49-point thumping of Turd Ferguson in the most meaningless game of the week. This was only DD’s second win ever against Turd, and the first since week 11 of the 2004 season. Turd leads the series, 6-2.
  • In a close matchup that came down to a failed fade pass to Marques Colston, The Jedi Masters held off Winning Beer Money, 116.54 – 114.71. This was TJM’s fourth straight win over WBM and extends their all-time lead to 7-2.

emilyscott8.jpgRecords (End-of-Season edition)

Single Season Records

  • The Jedi Masters are the first team in PFFL history to win 13 regular season games.
  • Double D is the eighth team to win 11 — tied for 4th most in a single season.
  • Turd Ferguson is the first team to lose 12 games, second only to WNFL’s 13-loss 2004 season.
  • The Jedi Masters’ 1551.91 season point total is the most ever, sneaking by Double D’s ’05 record by 3.5.
  • Double D’s 1425.28 points is the eighth most in a regular season.
  • The Jedi Masters are the 7th team to finish the season with a 7-1 division record, tied for fourth behind the three teams who have put up perfect division marks.
  • TKD and The Jedi Masters both finished the season a perfect 6-0 in non-division action — they are tied with only two other teams in accomplishing this feat.
  • TJM’s 12-game win streak is the longest in PFFL history (and will carry forward should they win their 2008 opener)
  • SaaBB and Turd Ferguson’s 4-game loss streaks to end the season are tied for the 7th longest season-ending futility runs in PFFL history.
  • Turd Ferguson had 1430.48 points scored against them this season — that’s the third most given up ever. (SIAP leads the way with 1490.33 in 2005, followed by TKD with 1445 in 2002)
  • TKD and Turd Ferguson won only 1 division game each. TKD’s 0.125 division win percentage is tied for second worst ever, while Turd’s 0.167 div win pct is tied for 8th worst. Only WNFL (in 2004) has ever gone an entire season without beating a division foe.
  • Turd Ferguson went 1-7 in non-division games, the fourth team to equal that mark. CSPJ went 0-6 outside their division last year, while TKD went 0-5-1 in 2000.

emilyscott3.jpgSeason Player Records

  • Tom Brady’s 410.15 points are the most ever by a single player over the course of a regular season in the player stats era (2004-present), edging Ladainian Tomlinson’s 395.6 2006 season.
  • Tony Romo’s 334.3 is 5th on that list.
  • Ladainian Tomlinson feels like he’s had a disappointing season, right? Well, it’s still the 6th best season for a RB since 2004. Brian Westbrook is in 8th on that same list.
  • Antonio Gates has put in the three best single season TE performances in PFFL since 2004. 2007 was his third best. By the way, his 2006 campaign is 9th on the list, giving him a year in the top 9 for each of his 4 seasons.
  • Randy Moss’ 264.4 points is far-and-away the most by a WR in the last four years. TO is second with 229.5.

emilyscott1.jpgCareer Records

  • Regular Season Wins: Post Mortem with 86
  • Regular Season Losses: The Hip with 79
  • Regular Season Win Pct: Double D at 0.629 (44-26)
  • Regular Season Points Scored: Post Mortem with 14105.24
  • Regular Season Points Per Game: DDT with 91.7 in 98 games, barely sneaking by Post Mortem’s 91.6 in 154 games
  • Win Pct in Division Games: The Jedi Masters at .592 (45-31)
  • Division Wins: SIAP with 48
  • Division Losses: Hedfullalicker with 42
  • High Point Weeks: Post Mortem at 18.5

emilyscott4.jpgPFFL Survivor

The final score is actually fairly close at 221.87 – 192.45, but The Jedi Masters season of dominance now includes a victory in Survivor as well. Congratulations to SaaBB for putting up a solid fight despite two game losses during the finals. $100 more to the Jedis, $40 to SaaBB

Finances

The finances as of the end of the season are up-to-date. The Jedis are already +$260, including the aforementioned Survivor victory and a Season High Point reward. Turd Ferguson will make a little extra cash as the recipient of the hard-luck most-points-scored-against award. Their prize will be the interest earned in the PFFL bank account as of 12/31/07.

emilyscott9.jpgTeam-By-Team Notes

  • Camel Toe, the league’s newest team, has now played every other PFFL franchise. They are 4-0 against Kramerica and 1-0 against Post Mortem. They are a combined 0-6 against Double D, SaaBB, TKD and The Jedi Masters.
  • CSPJ made the playoffs in their first three PFFL seasons. They have gone a combined 8-20 and missed the playoffs over the last two seasons.
  • Double D is in the postseason for the third time in their four-year PFFL career. This is the second straight season that they enter as a wild card team.
  • DDT broke a three-year postseason-making streak, but has still qualified for the playoffs in five of their seven PFFL seasons.
  • Hedfullalicker made the playoffs every year from 1997-2000. Since then, however, they have been alternating making/missing the postseason in odd/even years, respectively. This is the third consecutive odd-yeared season in which Hedfullalicker has finished 6-8.
  • Kramerica Industries won their first ever division title. In addition, they are making only their second trip to the playoffs in their six year PFFL lifetime.
  • Post Mortem has qualified for postseason play in 8 of 11 seasons (and 7 of the last 8). They were also the 5 seed in 2000 and lost in the semi-finals.
  • SaaBB is in the playoffs for the 8th time in 11 years, but the first time since 2004. This is the fifth time that they have been seeded 7th. In bad news for SIAP, SaaBB is 3-1 in first round games as the 7 seed (and 7-1 in first round games overall).
  • SIAP is back in the playoffs for the first time since 2004, and is in for the 7th time in 11 seasons. This year marks their third-ever division title. They were also seeded 2nd in 2004 and won the championship.
  • Tappa Kegga Day made it to the playoffs in their first three PFFL seasons, then took a five year break from week 15 action. They have now made it to the postseason for three straight years.
  • The Hip have qualified for postseason action in 7 of 11 years, but have missed the playoffs for two consecutive seasons. They haven’t won a playoff game since their championship win in 2003.
  • The Jedi Masters are having a nice run — this is their fourth straight playoff-making season (and 3rd division title in 4 years). They were also the #1 seed in 2004 and lost in the championship to SIAP. The Jedis have never lost a first round playoff game as a division champ.
  • Turd Ferguson is out of the playoffs for the first time since 2004. They have been a different seed in each of their 6 postseason-making seasons, but have never been seeded 2nd or 3rd.
  • Winning Beer Money was also an 8 seed as a 7-7 team in 2000. They lost in the first round that season, but can still be proud of making the postseason in 6 of 10 seasons.

emilyscott7.jpgPlayoff Round 1 Preview

(1) The Jedi Masters (13-1) vs (8) Winning Beer Money (7-7)

  • These two are very familiar with each other, having just played in week 14
  • This is their first-ever postseason meeting
  • The Jedi Masters lead the all-time (100% regular season) series, 7-2
  • The Jedis are 5-6 in the postseason all-time, with one 2nd place finish
  • Winning Beer Money is 3-4 in the playoffs and is the defending PFFL champion

(2) SIAP (9-5) vs (7) SaaBB (7-7)

  • Both teams are coming off of losses in week 14
  • SIAP and SaaBB have met once before in the playoffs, with SIAP beating SaaBB 134-94 in the 2000 championship game
  • The overall series is tied at 6 wins a piece
  • Back in week 6, SIAP beat SaaBB 132.46 – 82.1
  • SaaBB is 7-7 in postseason play and 6-1 in the first round
  • SIAP is a remarkable 10-4 in the playoffs with 2 wins in their 3 league championship appearances

(3) Kramerica Industries (7-7) vs (6) Tappa Kegga Day (7-7)

  • TKD leads the regular season series 2-1
  • These two teams haven’t met since week 1 of the 2005 season
  • This is only Kramerica’s 2nd playoff appearance and they are seeking their first postseason win
  • TKD is 8-4 in postseason action, with one title win in 3 championship game appearances
  • TKD is 4-1 in first round games

(4) Double D (11-3) vs (5) Post Mortem (7-7)

  • This is the only first round playoff matchup featuring two teams from the same division
  • Double D swept the regular season series and has defeated Post five straight times dating back to 2005.
  • Included in DD’s overall 8-1 series dominance is a semi-final win over Post Mortem in 2005
  • Double D is 5-2 in postseason play with two championship game appearances and a trophy-winning 2005 performance to their credit.
  • Post Mortem is only 4-7 in the playoffs and has reached the championship game only once (2001). PM hasn’t won a playoff game since that 2001 season.

Emily Scott wishes you all playoff success!

Playoff Seeds Determined (Explained)

View the 2007 Playoff Brackets

breebrooke12.jpgA few games with heavy playoff seed implications came right down to the wire on Monday night. In the end though, here is how the PFFL seeding worked out:

#1: The Jedi Masters – at 13-1, with the most points in the league. Honestly, these guys are the New England Patriots of PFFL.

#2: SIAP – Lost this week to drop to 9-5, but still won the Central by 2 games. One of only 3 teams to finish the season above .500.

#3: Kramerica Industries – There was one way that SaaBB could lose the East division. That one way happened. When Kramerica and DDT both won, and SaaBB lost, a three-way tie was created in the East. The first tiebreaker in a division is head-to-head record. Among these three teams, Kramerica was 3-1, SaaBB was 2-2 and DDT was 1-3. Therefore, Kramerica wins the division and claims the #3 seed.

#4: Double D – At 11-3, they have the second-best record in the league. Unfortunately, Double D was in the same division as The Jedi Masters (who are responsible for two of those three losses). It’s possible that Double D and TJM could meet in the playoff semi-finals.

breebrooke22.jpgAfter the three division champions were crowned and Double D was awarded the top wild card spot, five teams remained with 7-7 records. The “Division Best” rule is used to break ties at this point. What this means is that only one team at a time from each division is considered in any wild card tiebreaking step. Furthermore, the original order of finish within a division is maintained (so the 3rd best team in a division cannot make the playoffs ahead of the 2nd best team).

For “Division Best” purposes, consider the following: Post Mortem ended the season ahead of TKD in the West due to a season sweep. In the East, SaaBB finished ahead of DDT due to a superior division record (5-3 to 4-4). Winning Beer Money is the lone 7-7 team in the Central.

#5: Post Mortem – In the Post Mortem – SaaBB – WBM tiebreaker, the first step was applying the “head-to-head sweep” rule. WBM lost to both SaaBB and Post Mortem, and was therefore eliminated in this step. Post Mortem and SaaBB did not play, so the tiebreaker moved on to total points scored. Post’s terrible week 14 and SaaBB’s late season surge made this one interesting, but in the end, Post maintained a 15 point edge and won the #4 seed.

#6: Tappa Kegga Day – In the TKD – SaaBB – WBM tiebreaker, we again started with the “head-to-head sweep” rule. Yet again, Winning Beer Money lost to both TKD and SaaBB, eliminating them from the tiebreak. And again, SaaBB did not play their West division foe, so it went to total points. This time it wasn’t even close, as TKD used their 126 point advantage to nab the 6th seed.

#7: Sharp as a Bowling Ball – Three 7-7 teams remained at this point, and SaaBB continued to be the lone team from the East in consideration. SaaBB defeated WBM in their head-to-head matchup, and therefore claimed the seventh seed.

#8: Winning Beer Money – Here’s a team that was 3 points away from beating TJM this week and claiming the #5 seed outright. Instead, WBM drops all the way to the final tiebreaker with Double D. Fortunately for WBM, they finally faced a tiebreak team that they defeated this season. They grab the final playoff seed and set up the rematch with The Jedi Masters in week 15.

breebrooke14.jpgToilet Bowl

Let’s not forget that there is also a prize-less consolation bracket. Briefly, the seeds for the Toilet Bowl:

(1) Duany Duany Tanning – The only .500 team not to make the championship round.

(2) Hedfullalicker – The only 6-8 team in PFFL this year

(3) Chain Smoking Patch Junkies – Finished ahead of Camel Toe in the East, beat The Hip head-to-head

(4) The Hip – Beat Camel Toe head-to-head

(5) Camel Toe – 3 more wins than Turd

(6) Turd Ferguson – Worst record in the league

Good luck to everyone in the postseason!

breebrooke31.jpgBree Olsen and Brooke Belle welcome all of you to the postseason.

Remember guys, “I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus” is a song…

2007 Week Fourteen Playoff Possibilities

Posted on December 5, 2007 by Post Mortem

12653_v269104pa7_123_24lo.jpgThe byline for this article goes to Don, who spent a good portion of his Tuesday working out the calculations here. I haven’t really reviewed these in detail, so please consider them as unofficial.

Team-by-Team:

The Jedi Masters (12-1): TJM is locked into the #1 seed. They are playing week 14 for record purposes (best single season record, most points in a season, etc) and to try to win Survivor.

SIAP (9-4): SIAP has the Central division wrapped up and is locked into the #2 seed. Their motivation this week? SIAP has never won 10 games in a single season. Four times they have finished at 9-5, but never better. Of course, 2 of those 4 9-5 finishes led to championships, so maybe it’s part of the formula.

37017_victoria05s_secret_fashion_show_2007_hq_03_03_122_1156lo.jpgDouble D (10-3): Double D is locked into the top wild card spot and corresponding #4 seed. An 11-3 finish would be their best ever regular season, surpassing the 10-4 mark they posted in 2005, when they won the league championship.

Sharp as a Bowling Ball (7-6): The good news? They are in the playoffs for sure. The simple scenario? A win (or a Kramerica loss) and they wrap up the East division and the #3 seed. The complicated stuff? If SaaBB loses and Kramerica wins AND DDT wins, they could end up seeded 6th, 7th or 8th.

Kramerica Industries (6-7): Here’s a team that could win the division, or miss the playoffs altogether. A win plus a SaaBB loss plus a DDT win would give them the division title and the #3 seed. If that doesn’t work out, a win would still lock up a playoff spot and a seed anywhere from 6-8. A loss and they are out of the playoffs.

Post Mortem (7-6): Despite going 2-6 in their last 8 games, Post Mortem is in the playoffs as a wild card. They will be either the 5th seed (with a first round matchup against Double D) or the 6th seed (with a first round game against SaaBB or Kramerica). A win or WBM loss locks up the 5-spot. A loss plus a WBM win leads to the more attractive #6 seed.

21814_alima_111507_1_122_134lo.JPGWinning Beer Money (7-6): WBM is in the playoffs, that much is certain. Their seed, on the other hand, is completely up in the air. If WBM wins and Post Mortem loses, they will get the 5 seed. A win and a Post Mortem win locks up #6. A loss and they could end up seeded anywhere from 6-8, depending on what happens in the Kramerica and TKD games.

Tappa Kegga Day (6-7): Despite a 1-7 record in the West division, TKD controls its own destiny this week. A win and they are the 6 or 7 seed. A loss, and they need some help, but could still get into the playoffs.

Duany Duany Tanning (6-7): DDT needs to win and get a loss from either TKD or Kramerica to make the playoffs. If they lose, they could still get in if CSPJ, Kramerica and Hedfullalicker all lose.

Hedfullalicker (5-8): Hedfullalicker has an outside shot if they win, plus Kramerica loses to The Hip AND either DDT or TKD loses. Simple, right?

42221_adrianalimavictoriassecret20_122_783lo.jpgThe Hip (5-8): These guys always seem to be alive by the skin of their teeth. The Hip appears to have a shot at the #8 seed. But they need to win, AND have SaaBB beat Hedfullalicker AND SIAP beat DDT.

Chain Smoking Patch Junkies (5-8): These guys appear to be SOL. However, if they win and a bunch of other stuff happens, they might have a chance at a total points tiebreaker. Best advice to the Smokers? Win and score a LOT of points.

Camel Toe (4-9): Will help determine Post Mortem’s seed if WBM wins. Other than that, Camel Toe will either be undefeated against only one PFFL team (Kramerica) after this game or two.

Turd Ferguson (2-11): A loss would give them the 2nd most losses in a single PFFL season. So, there’s that…

18590_attachmentea49b1yo3_123_440lo.jpgCareer Record Watch

Here’s how some of the career and full-season records look heading into the week 14:

  • Post Mortem has 86 career wins, SIAP is only 3 back with 83. The Jedi Masters, despite playing one fewer season, have moved into a tie with Hedfullalicker at 78 wins (4th place).
  • The Hip will end the season with the most career regular season losses. The question is will that number be 78 or 79.
  • Double D is going to hold onto the career regular season winning percentage record, but The Jedi Masters could potentially pass Post Mortem and move into 3rd.
  • Barring The Hip scoring 446 more points than Post Mortem this week, Post will continue to lead the league in career regular season points.
  • Post Mortem has also passed DDT on the Regular Season Points Per Game list by 0.2 ppg.
  • The Jedi Masters now have the best career division winning percentage at .592, and have only 3 fewer division wins than SIAP.
  • Post Mortem will continue to lead the career high point weeks chart, but SIAP is only 2.5 back.

21814_alima_111507_1_122_134lo.JPGFinally, in the season high points contest, Double D would need to outscore The Jedi Masters by 135 points this week to prevent the Jedis from claiming that prize too.

Adriana Lima wishes you all playoff-making success, and models some underwear that is way to expensive for you to buy for your ladies…

Thanks again Don!

2007 Week Thirteen Recap

View the Week 13 GameCenter

25204_l_caeacc596df433e6d7958cd3da961f79_122_1148lo.jpgIn week 13 action:

  • Camel Toe threw a wrench into Kramerica’s postseason aspirations with a 20-point drubbing. Kramerica cannot get past Camel Toe, who is now 4-0 all-time against the Seinfeld-inspired squad. Camel Toe has played every team in PFFL at least once except for Post Mortem (and that will be resolved in week 13). Kramerica is the only one of those 12 teams that has never beaten Camel Toe (only CSPJ has had as many chances – 4 – as Kramerica to do it).
  • DDT kept SaaBB from locking up the East division title with a 14-point win. For SaaBB, this is now 3 straight losses. For DDT, this keeps their postseason hopes alive. Following the season split, DDT leads the all-time matchup, 8-3.
  • Double D rebounded from their loss to TJM last week with an 11 point win over CSPJ. DD has won 3 straight in this series, and leads it, 3-1. CSPJ beat DD in 2004, 75.2 – 35.8, in what must be DD’s lowest scoring output ever.
  • In a game befitting their long-standing rivalry, The Jedi Masters snuck by Post Mortem in a high-scoring affair, 105.33 – 103.27. This is the 7th time in 17 meetings that the loser has scored more than 100 points. For TJM, this also gains some level of revenge for their only loss this season (way back in week 2). PM still leads the career matchup, 9-8. This is the fifth season that TJM and Post have been in the same division, and the fifth time where that has resulted in a split of the regular season series.
  • TKD won a division game. Yep, it took them 8 tries, but they finally got it done, beating Hedfullalicker by 50 to earn a split of their season series. TKD leads the all-time matchup by a dominant 10-3 margin.
  • SIAP played 2007′s worst PFFL squad, Turd Ferguson, and cemented their place as Central division champion and #2 playoff seed with a 60+ point win. The win gives SIAP the season sweep and a 9-6 all-time series lead.
  • The Hip stayed alive in the playoff hunt with an upset win over WBM by 1.61 points. (WBM and Post Mortem are the most eager stat change seekers this week). The win earned The Hip a season split with WBM, and maintained their all-time advantage, 7-4.

61429_l_23d3f3e4014b8fb57ca69c2c9831383b_122_556lo.jpgRecords and Milestones – Jedi Edition (again)

  • The Jedi Masters became the first team since 1997 to win 12 games in the regular season. They have a shot next week to become the first ever team to record 13.
  • Turd Ferguson, meanwhile, is tied with 10 other teams in second place on the most regular season losses list. They can move into 2nd place on the list by themselves with a loss in week 14, but they can’t catch WNFL’s 13-loss record set in 2004.
  • The Jedi Masters’ 1435 points are already the 7th highest single season total in PFFL history. They need to scored 113.05 points in week 14 to record the highest single season scoring total ever.
  • The Jedi’s 11-game winning streak is tied with TKD’s 1997 run as the longest victory streak all-time.
  • SIAP picked up their third-ever division crown this week, tied for second most behind the Jedi Masters’ 5.

25124_517051188_l_122_993lo.jpgPFFL Survivor

The Jedi Masters opened up a 7-point lead over SaaBB in the PFFL Survivor finals, 105.33 – 98.47.
