Summerfest is over, Independence Day is in the past, and fantasy football magazines have been on the bookshelves for at least 6 weeks. That means it’s time for the 2009 PFFL 1st Round Draft Spot Selection Process (PFFL1RDSSP) to begin.
Some reminders:
- Make your selections here
- The timer for Camel Toe starts now — they have until 11:59 pm on Wednesday, 7/8/2009 to make their selection of their 1st round pick
- Following Camel Toe’s selection, and after each subsequent pick, the next team in line will have until 11:59 pm on the date two days later. In other words, if Camel Toe makes their pick on the 6th, Kramerica has until the 8th. If Camel Toe makes their pick on the 7th, Kramerica’s deadline is the 9th, etc.
- If the timer runs out on your team, you will be placed at the end of the draft spot selection order.
- IMPORTANT: Your 1st round spot selection determines your entire draft order, in the “3rd Round Reversal” method that we used last year. In other words, if you pick 1st in round 1, you pick last in rounds 2, 3, and 4, then first again in round 5 with a traditional snake order after that. If you pick 4th in round 1, you will be 11th in rounds 2, 3 and 4, then 4th again in round 5, then in snake order. (Basically, the order is a snake order, but then round 3 is flipped around, so the order for rounds 2, 3 and 4 is exactly the same, and is the opposite of round 1)
DRAFT DATE
The 2009 PFFL Draft will be held on the traditional “Friday of the weekend before Labor Day weekend” date. This year, that puts the draft date as late as it could possibly be – Friday, August 28th. I expect that we will again start the draft around 3 pm, so plan your work time off accordingly.
Draft Order Selection Babe
That’s Cheryl Tweedy (or Cheryl Cole — I don’t know what the story is behind the two names) at a birthday party (maybe even hers) in a fairly awesome dress.
