Week 10 Highlights
- CSPJ continued to be the hottest team in PFFL, winning their 8th in a row and defeating the only team that beat them this year (The Hip)
- SIAP got back to .500 with a win over Double D
- DDT crushed Camel Toe by 70+ to increase their all-time series lead to 3-1
- Hedfullalicker cruised past Post Mortem to crawl back to .500
- Tappa Kegga Day won their 3rd straight, demolishing Kramerica for the sixth time in their 8 all-time meetings
- SaaBB beat Winning Beer Money for the seventh consecutive time in a series that hasn’t seen a WBM win since the final week of the 2006 season
- The Jedi Masters have their first winning streak of the year, beating Turd Ferguson in the ugliest game of the week (scoring-wise). Turd hasn’t beaten the Jedis since 2004
PFFL Survivor
Despite a lack of wins this season, The Jedi Masters have impressively been staying alive in the Survivor competition. Unfortunately, their win this week also came at the expense of getting booted from the island. Immunity is no more, and we have our final four:
DDT, CSPJ, Double D and SaaBB
One of those four will take home $100, another will get $40. Two will get nothing but the joy of getting this far.
Record Watch
- CSPJ’s 8-game win streak is tied for 6th longest streak in league history
- Congratulations to Kramerica Industries who became the 12th team in PFFL history to score 10,000 regular season points. It was a 122 game journey for Kramer and crew, one game longer than TKD and 2 shy of WNFL, who took the longest to hit the mark
- Tappa Kegga Day became the third PFFL squad to win 100 regular season games, joining Post Mortem and SIAP in this prestigious club
- Double D recorded their 50th overall loss this week, making them the 14th team to hit the mark, and taking the longest (118 games) to get there (which is good)
- With their high point performance this week, DDT became the ninth team in league history to record 10 high point weeks in their career
- Michael Vick’s 55.65 point performance this week was the highest ever by any player since we started keeping player stats in PFFL (2004). He passes Adrian Peterson’s 50.5 point performance in week 9 of the 2007 season on this list.
Playoff Possibilities
- We have our first playoff qualifier this week as CSPJ, and their 9-1 record, have locked up a spot
- At 7-3, TKD and Double D are in fantastic shape and probably need only 1 more win to guarantee a playoff invite
- At the other end of the list, The Hip sits on the brink of elimination at 2-8
- Everyone else is still in the fight, particularly the four 5-5 teams and four 4-6 clubs. I imagine that list of 8 will get shuffled somewhat as we run the gauntlet here in the final four weeks of the season
- The Central division race should be excited to watch as well. Much like the West divisions in the NFL, the Central champ could easily be a .500 team
Recap Video
This is the red band trailer for the upcoming movie “Your Highness.” I don’t know if the movie is gonna be great or anything, but at least they’ve got the lewd part down. Oh, and Natalie Portman’s butt.
