I’m guessing y’all will enjoy this blog setup more if the links to the articles on the PFFL myFantasyLeague site open in a new window (or tab, depending on your browser setup). So, they now do just that. Plus, if the most recent article includes a picture, you’ll see that too (just like the old days!).

In addition, I updated the links just below the “Latest Posts” section. The Latest Preview/Recap/Txn Article links now direct you to the blog. The PFFL Survivor, Division Race, Wild Card Race and Finances links bring you to the PFFL Waymorefunner site.

Slick, right?

From this blog, you can also:

Comment on blog posts (you have to register on the site first — don’t worry, it’s just us PFFL-ers here)

Subscribe to get an email anytime a new article is posted

Write your own articles if you’d like (you also have to register to do this)

MFL Game Day is a slick little PC-based alternative to MFL’s web-based live scoring. Personally, this is the tool I use to monitor live scoring during the games — mainly because I can setup 7 leagues in it and flip-flop between them at will. Oh, and I love the NFL Game tab. You can download it here

If you want to read more about the tool, go to any myFantasyLeague page, and from the Help menu, select Detailed Help. From the Help page, select How To – Commissioner’s How To Guide – MFL GameDay Live Scoring How To.

Wanna know why PFFL is getting a blog? Well, here are some reasons:

The preview, recap and transaction articles that I create now are pretty “blog-like”, except they are created in an interface that I built from scratch. That’s great, but silly.

You can register and comment on articles now

There is room for posts that don’t fit into the preview/recap/transaction article structure (say, great links found throughout the week)

It’ll be easier to post pictures of and links to pictures of hot chicks, a PFFL staple

YOU can even create articles here. You just have to register first and I’ll up your authority to ‘author’ status

If you use an RSS reader (Google Reader is just about perfect), you can subscribe to a feed of posts and/or comments

PFFL-related (or unrelated) articles can be posted year-round, not just during the season

What do you think?

(and yeah, this is a good time to try out that whole ‘registering’ and then ‘commenting’ stuff that I talked about above)
