Thanks to Canned Hamm, the TV show Misfits of Science came up in ‘conversation‘ today. Remember this show? I loved it. The “Johnny B Good” character who played guitar and could shoot electricity was my favorite of the heroes. Plus, this was back when I had a crush on Courtney Cox.
So, I did a little research, in case your memory of the show is a little off.
- the show aired from Oct 1985 to Feb 1986
- you can see the titles of all 16 episodes here
- more info at TV Tome
- you can buy a VHS of the premiere episode at amazon.com
- if I remember correctly, the theme song was really really bad
There’s a lot that’s really cool about having a 50″ HDTV. Colors are super bright, sports look incredible, the television set is about half as heavy as my old 35-incher, and it looks damn cool.
But, I’m watching a Tivo-ed episode of House today and I realized something. Doctor-type shows that feature blood and stuff like that are maybe a little too vivid for high-definition. I mean, seriously, I thought my TV was bleeding…
I just flipped to ESPN to catch the high-def version of SportsCenter and a threesome broke out (last 30 seconds of this week’s episode of Tilt — ESPN sure does love to put the PG-13 in their television series.
