Dave and Erin’s Wedding – Dave and Erin got married on June 30th. I was honored to be a reader at their ceremony. Starting with our softball game on Wednesday night, the wedding rehearsal, ceremony/reception and Saturday picnic made up days 2-4 of the 8-day Paul-Dave-Erin marathon.
Brooke and Lexi’s Wedding Reception – Day 5 of the marathon included car pooling out to Oconomowoc for Brooke and Lexi’s wedding reception. They were married a week before in Vegas, so we got to enjoy the reception in casual attire. At Brooke’s parent’s house on Lake Okauchee, we had a great location. As the reception went on, the topic turned to different types of sandals. Ultimately, that led to the pictures of footwear featured in this photo set.
Brewers vs Reds – July 3rd – Day 6 of the marathon was Monday, July 3rd. Dave and Erin had an extra ticket to the Brewer game since Dave’s friend Rob’s mom had to leave earlier than originally anticipated. The weather was hot, the game was exciting. After Turnbow failed to convert a save in the top of the 9th, the Brew Crew stormed back to win it in the bottom of the inning, sending us all (Rob excluded) home happy.
July 3rd-4th Miscellaneous – The evening of July 3rd marked my first trip down to Summerfest. One of the bands that I saw was Margot & the Nuclear So and So’s who put on a tight, entertaining 35-minute set.
Karen Kelly’s 30th Birthday – July 5th was Karen’s 30th birthday, which we celebrated by surprising her at La Fuente.
