Why you should start your own side business

February 3rd, 2006 | Comments Off | Filed in General, Lifehacker, Links

This article over at the Achieve-IT! blog is a great summary of why starting a side business is an idea everyone should consider. Believe me, while my little side venture isn’t exactly enough to allow me to quit my “real” job, it’s definitely helped me learn a ton, and it’s kind of fun. Not to mention the fact that earning upwards of $900 from what is essentially a hobby with $0 in advertising cost? Well, hey, that’s pretty dang successful!

DSAOTD – Ever wonder what happened to Freddie Mitchell? Well, he just might be headed to the Arena League. Now if only the NFL can blackball TO next year and force him to go to the CFL…

Today’s highlight from Lifehacker is an article linking to the first two steps in a multi-part series on improving your financial decisions.

Personally, I’ve applied a bunch of these steps randomly over the last 10 years, so I’m interested in step 3 where I assume he tells me how to become crazy rich. :)

LifeHacker Article Of The Day – my favorite article from Lifehacker.com today

bookbar.jpgIt’s probably not something I’d ever do, but these enterprising college kids who built a bar completely out of books trashed at their library is pretty cool.
