Links from around this thing Al Gore invented

This set of links is both a collection of interesting stuff I’ve seen on the web this week and a test of this Structured Blogging functionality (which also has some applications for things like book and music reviews which I’ll be using soon).

HOME
AWAY
All times indicated are Wisconsin * Gold Package

I’ll be at all of the home (yellow) games that don’t have a * next to them (confusing, eh?)

The middle of the schedule is pretty brutal, what with 5 of 7 games on the road, but I like the fact that it finishes with 3 home games in December/January.

Next Packer Game Less Than 5 Months Away

Posted by Paul on 16th March 2005

As someone who enjoys football quite a bit (some would say I go a little overboard with the fantasy football stuff), I tend to go through a bit of withdrawal after the Super Bowl. I don’t huddle in a corner shaking or anything that dramatic, but I do find myself with extra time on my hands wondering what to do. That pathetic-ness aside, there are a few off-season events that provide me with a brief football “fix.”

In chronological order:

  1. Preseason schedules are announced (mid-March)
  2. Regular season schedules are announced (early-mid April)
  3. NFL Draft (late April)
  4. Training Camp Begins (July)
  5. Preseason begins (early August)

Today, the first of those things happened, as the Packers announced their slate of preseason opponents (in detail here). The Packers will be playing San Diego, New England, Buffalo, and Tennessee this August, with the first game, against San Diego, coming up on August 11th.

I’m not at all excited about preseason football, mind you, just the fact that the regular season is getting closer.
