Nothing like a couple weeks of work travel to make me incredibly tardy with the updates here…

Pitchfork Forkcast: Video: Rilo Kiley: “The Moneymaker”
The video for one of the tunes from Rilo’s upcoming Under the Blacklight release (August) - this includes 9 minutes of porn star interviews before the video itself (which features three of those porn star interviewees)

Pitchfork Forkcast: New Music: Feist: “Somewhere Down the Road”
Feist just might be the most buzzed about new act of 2007. Here, a recording of a cover song she’s done for an upcoming movie. Like all her stuff, it’s good.

Brooklyn Vegan: VIDEO: Ryan Adams & the Cardinals - “Two” on Letterman
I love this song, and the performance on Letterman is just as delightful as Dave predicts.

Music Links: Iron & Wine, Polyphonic Spree and Paste Blogs

My Old Kentucky Blog: New Iron & Wine: Boy With a Coin
The first track from the new Iron & Wine album due out this fall

gorilla vs bear: Raise Your Ears and Hold Onto Your Heart
Apparently they make trailers for documentaries that are included in special edition CDs now. This one is for the “making of” doc to be included in the Polyphonic Spree’s new album (out next week!)

Paste logo Yesterday was the first time I discovered that there were blogs associated with the Paste Magazine site! Some highlights in the articles I’ve seen thus far:
Andy Whitman’s Best Albums of the first 4.9 months of 2007
Andy Whitman: In search of the perfect playlist
Andy Whitman (one last time): 5-Star Albums of the New Millenium
Video Blog: Ryan Adams’ “Goodnight Rose”

…and in non-music news: Jeremy Happel was the first to blog about Justin Verlander’s no-hitter last night
